Type of Job: 
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the supervision of the Program Director: plans, orders, and prepares meals including snacks for young children enrolled in the early childhood program. Maintains cleanliness and keeps records as required.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Planning meals that adhere to CACFP Nutrition Program Guidelines; ordering all food and supplies for Nutrition Program; preparing and serving meals; adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items; and keep up to date menu record book.

Other Information/Requirements: 

High School Graduate or GED; ability to pass a CYFD criminal records background check; comfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook Email; ability to learn the NM CACFP menu record book data entry portal; ability to become NM ServSafe Certified; and be able to lift 40 lbs. Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
