Main Areas of Responsibility:
Provide strong, innovative leadership for the organization in promoting and developing UWCNM’s purpose, vision, mission and goals, always maintaining integrity, transparency and accountability; leverage the power of relationships and networks to improve conditions in our community; lead and empower the UWCNM management
team; maintain a leadership role among stakeholders; support effective governance of the Board of Directors including implementation of board-approved policies.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Facilitate stakeholder philanthropic priorities and alignment of funds for the benefit of UWCNM; promote and foster a work atmosphere that develops strong and effective staff; be a leader in actively fostering community partnerships at the local, regional, and national levels to maximize the use of resources and sharing of best practices; build trust in UWCNM and its relevance in our community; steward the United Way brand; oversee budget and information processes to assure fiscal sustainability.
Advanced leadership and communication abilities; demonstrated experience in large-scale fundraising; proven strategic leader; ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities; extensive experience developing and managing high-performing volunteer leadership boards; minimum 10 years of experience in transformational management and/or leadership. Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in business, social sciences, education, nonprofit management or related field is strongly preferred.
