Type of Job: 
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the direction of the Center Director, provide direct assistance and academic advising to program participants to complete secondary school and enter a program of postsecondary education.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Plan and implement events and activities that support high school graduation and college preparedness. This includes Upward Bound recruitment activities, educational and cultural activities for program participants, college visitation trips, tutoring sessions, and college access activities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

B.S. or B.A. Valid New Mexico driver’s license. Must pass Albuquerque Public Schools criminal records check. Working with first-generation and/or low-income high school students in an educational setting and understanding these challenges. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Applications. Must be reliable, driven, enthusiastic, and work well in a team environment. Bilingual English/Spanish prefered.
