Main Areas of Responsibility:
Seeking an experienced, innovative, & hands-on professional to serve as the Program Director for the Street Outreach Program. This position oversees the success of the program & works directly with homeless and at risk youth. Will network volunteers, community members, and other service agencies to advocate for youth and to provide a full spectrum of care. Maintain program expectations and standards, assist youth, and oversee the continuation and development of programming.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Must have a commitment to fostering the safety and autonomy of homeless, runaway and high-risk youth; proven project and contract management planning and budgeting skills; experience supervising staff and volunteers; excellent time management and organizational skills; and strong written, verbal and computer skills. An understanding and knowledge of government and non-profit youth sector and issues affecting young people is essential.
Bachelor's Degree in a human service field and two years of relevant experience. Looking for someone with experience with the homeless and a heart for kids. Must undergo background check and fingerprint clearance, current driver's license and proof of car insurance, be insurable under YSFS' auto insurance policy to provide transport of clients. Must have the ability to work non-traditional hours; must have the ability to work outside during hot, cold, and rainy weather.
