Resident Advocate

Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

(Two weekend positions are available) Resident Advocates are responsible for maintaining the safety of the shelter and the residents, providing support to address daily resident needs, conflict management as needed and upholding and enforcing the rules of the shelter with the residents.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to relate to women and children experiencing homelessness. Prefer for applicant to have First Aid and CPR Certifications. Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive company vehicle.

Other Information/Requirements: 

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma. Minimum of two years of related experience.
SCHEDULING:
Must be flexible and willing to work days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.
