Main Areas of Responsibility:
Reporting to the Office of Managed Care Services – UNM Health Claims and Customer Service Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for facilitating health plan member relations, assist in care management services, prepare and submit prior authorization documentation to the utilization management team, and facilitate coordination of appointments and support services for UNM Health members by phone and/or email.
High school diploma or GED with at least 5 to 7 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; OR successful completion of at least 60 hours college level credit with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience. Care coordination, medical billing or health insurance experience preferred. Telephone customer service experience preferred. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.
