Main Areas of Responsibility:
Provide guidance and educational services to high school students; meet regularly with students to review academic progress and develop short and long-term goals relating to their academic challenges and college aspirations.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Assist students with college applications; work with students on scholarship applications, and assist them with financial aid applications; work on summer programming as assigned; monitor grades and course registration to ensure students remain in good academic standing while in high school; maintain accurate student program files; document student participation in program activities; maintain accurate data in the database.
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in providing high school youth with academic advising services and college, career, and financial aid information preferred; experience overcoming barriers similar to those confronting the target population also preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish), Valid NM driver’s license, reliable transportation. Must pass APS background check.
