Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Coordinator is responsible for volunteer special projects in the warehouse and handling inventory in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. The Coordinator prepares volunteer areas; works with staff to identify projects and needed supplies; and maintains positive customer relationships with volunteers, partner agencies, and donors.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The Coordinator works with the Volunteer Program Manager and Volunteer Coordinator to document volunteer hours; provides support and training for volunteers in sort room activities; ensures inventory items are maintained and executes physical count; handles food according to safe food handling practices; maintains and safely operates warehouse equipment, forklifts, and pallet jacks; and assists in the safety and sanitation of facilities and equipment.
This role requires 1-3 years related experience and high school diploma or GED; the ability to effectively communicate, interact, and problem solve with coworkers, managers, and volunteers; a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness; and a negative COVID-19 Test and negative Pre-employment Drug Screening.
