National Commission for Certification of CME Professionals (NC-CME)
The mission of NC-CME is to improve the quality of patient care by creating a standard of self-assessment and certification for the men and women who create, deliver, or support continuing educational programs for practicing physicians and other health care professionals.
CCMEP - a monitored, validated program to assess competency and continuous professional development(CPD) and designate qualified individuals as Certified Continuing Medical Education Professionals. Program incorporates eligibility requirements (documentation of education, experience, and continuous professional development); resources to encourage CPD; certificants need to document their CPD and pass a 3-hour monitored examination every 5 years to maintain certification. Prominent subject matter experts who have achieved the CCMEP credential volunteer their time to serve on the Board of Directors, Advisory Board, standing Committees, and Exam Development Teams.
