Women's Health Services
Women’s Health Services (WHS) is a community-based health clinic that provides quality, accessible, women-centered health care for women, men and children whether or not they have health care insurance.
WHS is a non-profit community healthcare center dedicated to quality accessible care for women and families in Northern New Mexico. WHS applies cutting-edge advances in healthcare to daily practice to meet the unique needs of our diverse population.
WHS provides cutting edge healthcare for women. Ongoing research has proven that medical guidelines should be tailored specifically to women in reproductive health, heart disease, diabetes, depression, and musculoskeletal disorders, to name a few. WHS strives to bring new healthcare practices to life and address the critical gender-specific needs of our women and families. WHS has 39 years of experience in meeting Northern New Mexico’s unique blend of languages, cultures, and healthcare priorities. WHS was among the first to achieve a National Patient Centered Medical Home certification in Santa Fe.
WHS’ goals reach beyond quality care. WHS sponsors wellness classes, school nutrition programs, outreach for teen pregnancy prevention, and health fair screenings. WHS trains UNM primary care residents and medical assistants and supports midwifery in Espanola. WHS participates in clinical research projects with UNM, the U.S. Office of Women’s Health, and Christus St. Vincent Community Foundation.
