Mission Statement:

The mission of Crossroads for Women is to provide comprehensive, integrated services to support women working to break the cycle of homelessness and incarceration and achieve healthy, stable, and self-sufficient lives in the community for themselves and their children.

Primary Programs:

Crossroads for Women provides housing and intensive support services for homeless women with co-occurring mental and addictive disorders working towards self-sufficiency. The agency operates 4 programs. Maya’s Place, HOPE House and The Pavilions in Los Lunas, NM are highly structured, transitional housing programs for homeless women exiting jail or prison, substance abuse treatment, a shelter or the streets. The Crossroads is a permanent supportive housing program utilizing scattered site housing throughout the City of Albuquerque for homeless women, cycling between homelessness and incarceration, and their children.

Other Programs:

Crossroads for Women is a non-profit organization that empowers New Mexico women to achieve successful reentry, sustainable recovery, and secure futures as they break the cycle of homelessness and incarceration. Because our clients have substance addiction and mental health issues, Crossroads has developed comprehensive programs to meet needs that other organizations cannot. The supportive housing programs of The Crossroads and Maya’s Place provide therapeutic services that address past trauma and tailor intensive case management, and educational, vocational, and parenting support plans to the specific needs of each woman. Our specialized, therapeutic community is managed by expert staff and strengthened by dedicated volunteers, organizational partners, and individual donors.
