Mission Statement:

Created in 2007, Tres Semillas Foundation, Inc. oversees the creation of a centrally-located collection of community resources supporting local needs such as economic development, child care, education, and preservation of the land and local traditions.

Primary Programs:

1. Art Gallery - Supporting the strong arts community, a gallery will provide economic opportunity for local artists in a prime location in the heart of Abiquiu across from Bode's Mercantile.

2. Northern Youth Project - In alignment with local agricultural traditions, part of the Tres Semillas property is being dedicated to agriculture, a project being undertaken by teen members of Northern Youth Project. Leadership and collaboration opportunities are developed through inviting partnership with local agricultural organizations, farms, and vineyards. Respect for the land and water will be developed through learning crop rotation, acequia use and care, seed saving, and raising, harvesting, and preserving crops. Business opportunities will be explored through crop choices and farmer's market sales. This project is led by a woman who combines her degree in Art, Child Development, and Culture with a passion for taking care of the land, restoring people's connection with food, land, and water.

3. Future home of a collective of nonprofit organizations offering services needed in the community. Collaboration among multiple organizations allows nonprofits to minimize overhead and focus more resources on delivering high-quality services.
