Description

The collection, management and analysis of data is becoming increasingly more important for nonprofit organizations. Savvy data management and analysis can lead to increased funding and better programs and services and has become critical to sustaining the work of our nonprofit.

But, data management is not simple, especially when working with sub-optimal data tools. Many organizations feel overwhelmed by the prospect of selecting and implementing new data systems.

This session will review a process for assessing current organizational data needs in preparation for implementing new data systems.

Hosted by Erica Blake

Erica has a background in urban planning and policy, with a focus on housing equity issues. She has worked in data management, research and program evaluation internally at housing organizations and externally as a non-profit consultant. Unsurprisingly she loves urban-related data and all maps. As a Data Consultant on the Data and Strategy team at Tech Impact, Erica works on database selection, implementation and analysis projects. Erica bikes to work, and does yoga, cooks, and reads novels on the weekends.
