Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Come help Tree New Mexico and the Taylor Ranch neighborhood plant 100 trees as part of the ABQ NeighborWoods program.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The Taylor Ranch Neighborhood has less tree canopy than the Albuquerque city average. The new trees will help to provide shade corridors for walking to the park and the community center as well as several other neighborhood streets. The trees will slow down traffic, and will encourage a more healthy community.

Snacks. Some shovels, rakes, hoes and brooms.

Additional Requirements: 

Wear closed-toed shoes and gloves. Please bring a water bottle, and a shovel. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Children 15 and younger should be accompanied by an adult.
