Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Join us to help the Trumbull Village and Elder Homestead neighborhoods plant 100 trees on September 14th at 137 Charleston SE in Albuquerque! Loaders meet at 8:00 am and planters meet at 9:30 am.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Trumbull Village and Elder Homestead neighborhoods have below the city average tree canopy, making the area considerably hotter. We are focusing on routes that school children and neighbors walk frequently. Trees reduce crime, calm traffic, and increase home values as well as provide energy savings and positive environmental impacts!

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Trees, mulch, some shovels, rakes and other necessary materials. We will also provide planting team leaders and snacks.

Additional Requirements: 

Please wear closed-toed shoes and gloves. Hats and sunscreen recommended. Bring a water bottle and shovels if possible. See you there!
