Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Are you passionate about assisting those affected by domestic violence? We are in need of Volunteer Advocates!

Volunteer duties:
- Assess and triage victim needs to provide accurate information, resources and referrals
- Attend court hearings with victims as needed
- Ability to work well in stressful or emotional situations
- Ability to be on-call and volunteer outside business hours

Must be able to work with a diverse population of individuals and other agencies.
Knowledge of the criminal justice system and court proceedings a plus, but not required.
Personal experience with the subject matter a plus, but not required.
Must be willing to complete a 40-hour online training on victim advocacy.
