Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

We are seeking a volunteer to join our Board of Directors and lead volunteer recruitment and coordination efforts. Rebuilding Together Sandoval County (RTSC) has been providing essential home rehabilitation services, at no cost, to low income families in Sandoval County over the past 20 years. Our mission is: repairing homes, revitalizing communities, rebuilding lives. The Board of Directors has primary responsibility for setting strategic direction and managing the affairs of the corporation in accordance with our bylaws. Board members attend monthly meetings and lead or participate in one of the board committees. For this position, we are seeking someone to lead the Volunteer Committee.

RTSC is an affiliate of Rebuilding Together, which is the nations largest non-profit organization providing home repairs to disadvantaged, low-income families. Rebuilding Together provides insurance policies, training, grant opportunities, and all of the tools, resources, and support staff necessary for each affiliate to grow and thrive.

Additional Requirements: 

The Volunteer Committee Chair is responsible for recruiting and coordinating the volunteers needed to perform home repairs. Duties include outreach to agencies that provide volunteers, maintain a database of volunteers, schedule volunteers for each project, assist the project House Captain with volunteer coordination, and support on the job site as needed.
