Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

• Collaborate with Board of Directors & Executive Director to create fund development plan which increases revenues & supports strategic direction of organization.
• Implement fund development plans in accordance with ethical fundraising principles.
• Monitor & evaluate all fundraising activities to ensure that fundraising goals are being achieved.
• Monitor trends in the community/region and adapt fundraising strategies as necessary.
• Develop & manage timelines for fundraising activities to ensure strategic plans and critical fundraising processes are carried out in timely manner.
• Develop policies & procedures for the development department which reflect ethical fundraising practices.
• Prepare & submit grant applications as outlined in the fund development plan to generate funds for the organization.
• Oversee the planning/execution of special fundraising events as specified in the fund development plan to generate funds for the organization.
