Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Facilitators at U-21 act as role models and chaperones to a group of great kids at weekly Friday night meetings (which include games, fun activities, educational seminars, crafts, and generally being supportive) as well as occasional weekend events.  We work with all of our facilitators to ensure their level of commitment fits well with their interests and available time.

Participants reflect a spectrum of race, religion, socio-economic backgrounds, and gender and sexual identities. Our youth come from the Albuquerque area seeking a safe space to be their authentic selves.

Because of our work with our city’s youth, we do require all of our facilitators to agree to a background check (which we would cover the cost of).
