IT Support

Dates Volunteer is Needed: 
Once a week for 12 months, hours to be determined.
Number of Volunteers Needed: 
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Purpose: The Techie serves as IT support for Reading Works Inc. an Adult Literacy Program.
Key Responsibilities:
Weekly computer back-ups at our main location.
Assist with computer upgrades.
Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
Setting up accounts for new users.
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.

Time Commitment: One day per week, for 12 months. Hours to be determined.
Qualifications: Enthusiastic about technology and computers.
Support: The Acting Executive Director will be available for questions and assistance.
