Dates Volunteer is Needed:
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
On Saturday, November 16th, the National Association of Letter Carriers, the United States Postal Service and the Rural Letter Carriers Association will host its annual Letter Carrier's Food Drive. In Albuquerque, the food collected through the Food Drive will benefit Roadrunner Food Bank. As part of this campaign, we will be encouraging community members to leave out a bag of non-perishable food at their mailboxes as donations to help feed New Mexico’s hungry. Volunteers are needed at 11 different post office locations to receive food from the postal carriers and help sort food into different bins/barrels. The volunteer shift will be 2-3 hours long with different start times at each location. To sign up, follow the link provided or contact [email protected]; www.rrfb.org/cervis. Thank you in advance for helping us in our mission to solve hunger in New Mexico!
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Every week Roadrunner Food Bank touches the lives of 70,000 hungry children, adults and vulnerable seniors who don't have enough food to eat. This Letter Carriers Food Drive helps us receive food for hungry people in our communities.
