Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
The Events Coordinator provides logistical support for chapter workshops including location, refreshments, technology, registration, introductions, and evaluation forms. This planning and organizing work may be done primarily from home. In addition, the Events Coordinator (or an approved alternate) must attend all workshops (approximately 11 per year) This position requires an average of 5-6 hours per month from January-November. Periodic planning meetings with the Workshop Chair or other chapter members may be required. This position reports to the Workshop Chair. Other related duties may be assigned. At this time, all workshops take place on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday during normal business hours. Occasional evening workshops may be considered in the future. All events are held in Albuquerque.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Local entrepreneurs and small business owners. The Events Coordinator will develop business and networking skills, resulting in a more marketable background for a career in event planning, marketing or business.
