Preparing the IRS 990 EZ

You will learn how to use the 990 EZ to highlight your organization's work.  The IRS Form 990 or 990 EZ has become more important as it is scrutinized by IRS, grantors, donors, the media and competitors.  Filing correctly is critical to ensure your nonprofit organization is properly presented to the public.  The 990 EZ is the form for organizations with gross receipts less than $200,000 and total assets less than $500,000 at the end of their tax year.

Janice Moen, CPA, has seventeen years’ experience as the CEO or CFO of nonprofit organizations and five years’ experience as an external auditor of governmental and nonprofit agencies.  Janice is a faculty member of the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Business.  She developed a graduate level class on nonprofit accounting and the IRS Form 990.  Janice has a BBA and a Master in Accounting from the University of New Mexico.
