Mission Statement:
To empower adults with the literacy and language skills they need to be effectively and positively involved in family, work, civic life and community.
We serve adults or legally emancipated minors who reside in Bernalillo County.
Programs:
1. One on one tutoring to teach adults to read and write — to prepare to take the GED exam — or learn English as a Second Language
2. Group tutoring (3 to 5 people) usually in partnership with another non-profit
3. Math instruction
4. Computer and Language Lab
5. Interim instruction for students on the waiting list
6. Cooperative programming with Enlace Communitario, Crossroads for Women, ABQ-GED and other non-profits.
