Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director is a dynamic and visionary leader with a strong commitment to excellence in early childhood education and operational/financial management. The candidate will have demonstrated skill in staff management/development, grant writing/management, and fund development/marketing, interaction with Board of Directors, and community representation of his/her agency.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The preferred candidate will hold a Masters Degree in Education or a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, plus a minimum of three years nonprofit leadership experience, preferably in an early childhood setting. Must meet NM Child Care licensing requirements for a childcare director. Employment expected to begin in May 2016.

Christina Kent Early Childhood Center serves the children of economically diverse working families with quality childcare, early education, and nutritional services in a safe and nurturing environment. Founded in 1919, Christina Kent has a proud history as the oldest nonprofit childcare center in Albuquerque. 62 children, ages 2 to 5 attend the year-round, 5-star rated program.
