#GivingTuesdayNow...A Global Generosity Movement
#GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity, set to take place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. The day is designed to drive an influx of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.
#GivingTuesdayNow will mobilize GivingTuesday’s global network of leaders, partners, communities and generous individuals.
The global day of action will rally people around the world to tap into the power of human connection and strengthen communities at the grassroots level. Communities are encouraged to take action on behalf of first responders, as well as the world’s other - often forgotten - frontline workers: the nonprofits and community organizations that feed, house, educate, and nurture neighbors impacted by the global pandemic.

What is #GivingTuesdayNM?
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and in conjunction with the widely recognized shopping days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesdayNM is part of the global day of giving known as #GivingTuesday.
Since 2015, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNPE) has coordinated the branded, local initiative in order to make it easy for donors, volunteers and other organizations to find New Mexico nonprofits running #GivingTuesday campaigns.
#GivingTuesday harnesses the power of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities. It provides a platform for encouraging the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges. It also brings together the unique and collective power of partners — nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals — to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness.
